A homeowner on the 300 block of East Bertsch Street in Lansford received a phone call from the Lansford Fire Company Saturday night after someone allegedly decided to start a fire between the back door and screen door of her home.
Below is a comment Saturday night from Jan Swan on Facebook:
“Don’t know who, but someone tried to burn my home in Lansford down!
Just off the phone with Lansford Fire Department. It seems someone couldn’t get into the house and decided to start a fire between the back door and screendoor! WHAT is this world coming to!???!!!
Say a prayer please. It seems the person left a can with lighter fluid in it. Hopefully the police can get prints off it and find out who was responsible! GRRRRRR! Just makes me angry to think people would do such a thing! Someone could have been hurt if it wasn’t caught in time! THANK YOU GOD for small favors!”
