?

A Pottsville woman was taken to the hospital after crashing her vehicle into a parked car yesterday (Friday, August 21, 2015) along West Broad Street in Tamaqua. Emergency personnel were dispatched to the 300 block of West Broad Street (US209) around 3:15 PM yesterday for a motor vehicle accident with injury.
They arrived to see an older woman complaining of pains. The woman, traveling southwest on West Broad Street, apparently served to the right and crashed her white Subaru Forester into the rear of a parked Saturn Ion. The Saturn, which was pushed about 20 feet, was unoccupied.
The woman was placed on stretcher and transported via ambulance to St. Luke’s Hospital – Miners Campus in Coaldale with unknown injuries.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Hope’s Towing.
That part of US209 was closed for the duration.
Responding were Tamaqua Fire Department, Tamaqua Rescue Squad, Tamaqua Ambulance, Tamaqua Police, Tamaqua Fire Police and others.
Officers Corey Herring and Karl Harig are investigating. No more information is known.
