Veterans were honored during the Tamaqua Senior High and Middle School’s annual Veterans Day Observance Ceremony, which took place in front of the Tamaqua Area Senior High School yesterday morning (Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, 2014).
In addition to a flag raising, various students spoke, Tamaqua High School Jazz Choral (led by director John Buglio) performed a rendition of America The Beautiful, and members of the Tamaqua Raider Band played taps.
The Schuylkill Carbon Marine Corps League Detachment 626 served as the color guard and honor guard.
Veteran Dale Kline of the Quakake American Legion raised the flag.
Two veterans were also given high school diplomas during the service. They were Joe Clausius, 63, and Terry Snyder, 65, both of Tamaqua. Click HERE for that article.
