Sisters Stacei Faust and Emily Zancofsky are hoping community members will join them tomorrow (Saturday, August 9, 2014) to pickup litter and debris in and along the banks of the Little Schuylkill River in Tamaqua.
The cleanup starts at 11 AM next to Boyer’s Food Market and will last about two hours or so.
The sisters decided to hold the cleanup after seeing the large amount of garbage located along the river.
They added that garbage bags will be provided. They also recommend volunteers to wear gloves.
Anyone with water waders is also encouraged to help remove debris from the river.
