Tamaqua Police helped navigate another wrong-way tractor-trailer driver around 8:30 p.m. today in the borough. The driver apparently traversed all the way up North Railroad Street to the 500 block, near the Vine Street intersection.
While trying to get back on SR309, the driver accidentally impacted a parked vehicle on Vine Street.
Police officer Tim Walsh helped direct the driver back onto SR309.
About 20 minutes later, another tractor-trailer could be seen going the wrong way on SR309. That driver turned south out of the St. Luke’s Tamaqua Medical Center parking lot onto Pine Street, east onto East Broad Street, north onto Market Street, west onto upper Mauch Chunk Street and back north onto Pine Street.
It was raining during both incidents.
