OVER 400 CHILDREN RECEIVE TOYS DURING TAMAQUA SALVATION ARMY CHRISTMAS ASSISTANCE DISTRIBUTION

Over 400 children received toys via the Tamaqua Salvation Army Angel Tree Program and Schuylkill Carbon Marine Corps League Christmas Assistance Distribution held yesterday at the Tamaqua Salvation Army. In addition to toys and clothing, over 400 food baskets and hams were distributed.
Tamaqua Salvation Army Major Sharon Whispell stated her appreciation to all who donated, volunteered or showed support during the event.
Part two of the event will take place Saturday morning in Lehighton for registered families.
