Two people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle accident yesterday afternoon in Rush Township. Emergency personnel were dispatched around 1:20 PM to the southbound side of SR309, just north of the intersection of Ben Titus Road, for a motor vehicle accident with minor injuries.
The crash involved a Chevy pickup truck and a Dodge van. Two people in the van (a man and woman) were taken to different hospital with minor injuries, while the male driver of the pickup truck refused care.
Responding were Rush Township Police, Tamaqua Rescue Squad, Hometown Fire Company, Hometown Fire Police, Ryan Township Ambulance, and others.
