TAMAQUA SALVATION ARMY IN NEED OF BELL RINGERS FOR THE HOLIDAYS; BUSINESSES, ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS ENCOURAGED TO VOLUNTEER

red kettlePRESS RELEASE – A meeting for prospective Salvation Army bell ringer volunteers will be held this Friday (November 6, 2015) at 6 PM at Tamaqua Salvation Army, 105 West Broad Street.
The National Red Kettle Christmas Campaign enables The Salvation Army to provide food, toys and clothing to over 6 million people during the Christmas season and helps more than 34 million Americans recovering from all kinds of personal disasters nationwide.
Tamaqua Salvation Army volunteers will soon be out ringing bells at local businesses to help support the Corps serving residents in Schuylkill and Carbon Counties.
The traditional Bell Ringer volunteers two or more hours at designated kettle locations. Businesses, schools, civic clubs, churches or groups wishing to help raise funds are encouraged to take a day or weekend to minister in this way.
Scheduled kettle hours are between 11 AM to 8 PM Monday through Saturday. Bring your photo identification and social security card, if you will be volunteering regularly for the six-week Christmas season.
If you cannot attend this meeting or have any questions about volunteering to stand a kettle, please call Kettle Coordinator, Jesse Durning, at (570) 668-0410 or (570) 728-6103.
Durning said that they can work around anyone’s schedule.
