WAR ENCAMPMENT FEATURED AT OLD FASHIONED MINER’S LABOR DAY PICNIC IN LANSFORD

Mine tours guest hold their hands up while being questioned by Civil War reenactors during the event.

Volunteers held their annual Old Fashioned Picnic on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at the No. 9 Mine and Museum in Lansford. The event also included a Living History Civil War Encampment reenactment.
The living history Civil War encampment commemorated the 151st anniversary of the Civil War this year. Re-enactors from the 8th Georgia Infantry Co.A, Rome Light Guards will be camped out for the weekend.
The No. 9 Coal Mine and Museum is located at 9 Dock Street in Lansford.
