As of 9 PM tonight (Monday, May 25, 2015), firefighters remain on scene of multiple brush fires near the Mahanoy City windmills. Emergency personnel were dispatched to the area around 7 PM. On scene are firefighters from Mahanoy City, Tamaqua, Shenandoah and others.
Firefighters are setting up a water porta-pond on SR924 near the windmill access road. Multiple tanker trucks were also dispatched.
