HAZMAT TRAINING DRILL HELD IN NESQUEHONING

Carbon County Emergency Management Agency, Nesquehoning Fire Company, Nesquehoning Police, and many other emergency services took part in a hazardous material response training drill Monday evening (May 4, 2015) in Nesquehoning. Training exercise took place in the adjacent parking lots behind Ametek and KME.
The drill involved a “victim” pretending that he lost consciousness due to unknown smoke coming from a box truck and escalated into a large hazmat response.
Event lasted a couple hours and involved multiple levels of attention and response.
