FIREFIGHTERS CALLED TO BRUSH FIRE IN BANKS TOWNSHIP

Firefighters were quick to slow a brush fire yesterday (Monday, May 4, 2015) in Banks Township. Emergency personnel were dispatched around 7:40 PM to an area around 1000 Tresckow Road in the township. About an acre and a half was scorched.
The cause is unknown.
The National Weather Service in State College issued a Fire Weather Watch for much of Monday.
Responding were Tresckow Fire Company, McAdoo Fire Company and others.
In addition, firefighters were dispatched around 6:15 PM to a fire in the area of 2 South Lehigh Gorge Drive in Lehigh Township.
