LANSFORD FIRE COMPANY HOLDS SPAGHETTI DINNER TO BENEFIT KOKINDA FAMILY

Spaghetti Dinner to benefit Ruzicka Family, American Fire Company, Lansford, 3-1-2015 (COMBINED)Members and volunteers of the American Fire Company No 1 in Lansford held a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser to benefit Kimberly “Kim” Ruzicka-Kokinda and her family. Kim, who is the daughter of a fire company member, was injured after a rifle accidentally discharged into her back while deer spotting with her boyfriend on January 5 in West Penn Township.
Monies from the spaghetti benefit will go towards a handicap ramp and shower equipment.
Kim, who is currently paralyzed from the waste down, was released from the hospital a week ago.
“I am determined, motivated and my spirits remain high,” said Kim.
She stated her appreciation to all the firefighters, volunteers, family, friends and visitors that supported the event.
