
According to a WNEP TV 16 news story this evening (Sunday, January 25, 2015), an individual led police on a high-speed chase across Luzerne and Schuylkill Counties. The chase ended with State Troopers having to pin in the suspect with their cruisers.
The chase ended just off the Interstate 81 exit, near the Mahanoy City/Hometown exit.
The WNEP story adds that the male suspect took off from the Pittston area while Pittston Police attempted to serve a warrant on him around 3:30 PM Sunday.

Speeds reached more than 100 miles per hour in the southbound lanes on Interstate 81.
Police were finally able to stop him after he ran over spikes twice. He then jumped through his car roof before being captured down an embankment along Route 54.
According to the WNEP story, two state troopers and the suspect taken to the hospital and a third trooper was also injured. Police have not yet released the name of that suspect.

I saw them on 81 when they did the second spiking it was impressive it made him run into the guard rail, but he kept going didn’t think he was going much further with all the troopers on his tail!
