Members of the Gabriel Chamber Ensemble in New Ringgold will be celebrating their 25th anniversary during a concert on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Schuylkill Haven.
Concert starts at 3 PM.
Tickets are $20/adult and $15/senior.  Admission for students is free. All are invited to join the musicians and fellow audience members for a complimentary reception following the concert.

“This concert, in memory of Basil S. Walsh III is sponsored by Marria O’Malley Walsh.  Basil was an ardent supporter of the ensemble, and served as board president from 1992 to 1995.  His love and appreciation of classical music were unparalleled.
The Gabriel Chamber Ensemble continues its 25th Anniversary Season with a program that is serious, yet romantic.  Two beloved guest artists return for this event: Xun Pan on piano and Barbara Jaffee on violin.The ensemble will perform music by Elgar, Beethoven and Dvorak:

Elgar Piano Quintet, Op. 84  (Moderato-Allegro)
Beethoven String Quartet Op. 95 “Serioso”
Dvorak Piano Quintet Op. 81

Chinese-American Xun Pan is an award-winning pianist.  He has performed all over the world, including such cities as New York, Boston, London and Moscow.  Dr. Pan “…excites his audience with extraordinary power and masterful technique.” (Star Ledger)

Barbara Jaffe is a virtuosic violinist who graduated magna cum laude from the Philadelphia College of the Performing Arts, and earned a Master of Music degree in Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music.  She is a member of five ensembles, has performed with many others — including the Pennsylvania Ballet — and is a frequent guest artist with the Gabriel Chamber Ensemble.
