Phone tips to TamaquaArea.com and comments on Facebook reported a power outage for parts of Summit Hill and Lansford tonight (Wednesday, October 22, 2014). The outage appeared to happen just before 11 PM tonight and was restored for most of Summit Hill around 11:12 PM.
As of 11:15 PM, PPL’s power outage website didn’t show any power outages, even though there are definite reports.
As of 11:20 PM, the website stated that 1,778 PPL customers in Lansford are without power.
Facebook comments say that power also flickered in Coaldale and Lansford.
The cause of the outage is still unknown.
