UPDATE:
He was found and is lodged in Carbon County Prison, pending arraignment.

Daniel “Dan” Stahler, 31, of Lehighton/Packerton, is wanted in relation to an alleged assault on his 5-year old nephew yesterday (Thursday, August 28, 2014) around 7 PM at a 100 block home on Mauch Chunk Street in Packerton (Mahoning Township), north of Lehighton. The parents of the boy are Kaitlin Stahler and Trevor Strohl of Palmerton.
Family members alleged that Dan Stahler was drinking alcohol and assaulted the boy for “hugging his dog too hard.” They added that the boy suffered a fractured eye socket, burst ear drum, concussion, and bruising to his torso, face and knee. In addition, hair on the boy’s head was also pulled out.
Unofficial reports state a gun and bullets are missing from the home.
Kaitlin and other family members of the victim contacted TamaquaArea.com with these photos and information in hopes of helping police find Stahler.
TamaquaArea.com also received a photo of the boy’s injuries, but opts not to show the image.

  1. Alcohol or not this person has some pretty in-depth mental issues that obviously need addressed professionally. For someone to do that to a child, family member to top it off.should not be standing ,period. How low can a person go to allow this act and possibly feel any type of empowerment .there’s loads of shit out there.. poor little baby I hope the child’s alright..

  2. I am so tired of the violence perpetrated by the bloods, crypts and jug-halos (must be a newer gang). Now they’re beating up OUR CHILDREN. The assault of this child – and any child – MUST be answered with the most strict punishments available in our legal system.
