The field surrounding the Mahanoy Area School District sports stadium was packed with spectators during last night’s (Saturday, July 5, 2014) fireworks display. School students, staff, parents and other supports came together to raise donations to hold the display this year. A volunteer said that the last fireworks display in the borough was held in 2009.
