Most metal scrappers in and around Tamaqua are honest. Sadly, a number are not.
A resident at 430 Hazle Street said her metal weed wacker and lawn mower were taken from the back of her Tamaqua home around 7 PM yesterday (Thursday, June 5, 2014).
If you see or know of a metal scrapper with a green weed wacker (with black handle) or a grey gas-powered lawn mower (with black handle), please take a photo and/or call the resident right away at (570) 778-5570.
In addition, only a few days ago, a Dutch Hill resident complained after someone took his metal construction equipment from the back of his garage along Spring Street in Tamaqua.
Tamaqua Crime Watch is telling people to keep alert and don’t be afraid to take photos or ask questions.
