A prisoner remains at large after escaping custody today (Friday, June 6, 2014) of the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville. According to scanner traffic, prisoner Jessie Wolfe, 30, of Schuylkill Haven, escaped shortly before 4 PM today. Wolfe, wearing handcuffs and a grey jumpsuit with “SCP” on it, stole a grey or tan 2000 Oldsmobile minivan. He is described as having short brown hair, scruffy face and bright shoe laces.
Authorities said Wolfe was being escorted from the county courthouse across the street to the prison when he took off running. He ran into the development and into someone’s unlocked home, where he stole keys to a van and drove off.
In addition to recent charges by Schuylkill Haven Police, Wolfe was wanted in Berks County for fleeing and eluding charges.
