Hometown Volunteer Fire Company’s new fire truck (Engine 2510) is officially in service.
A post on the fire company’s Facebook page reads, “Thanks to all of our hard working members who put in all of their extra time. We are honored to be able to say Engine 2510 is officially in service!”
In addition, a post from fire chief Barry Messerschmidt’s Facebook page reads, “Feeling very lucky. The Hometown Fire Company has been without an engine since November of 2015 last night at 1600 hours we put the new engine 2510 in service. Thank you everyone it was truly a team effort.”
