At 1:53 a.m. today, emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of Sister’s Cantina along US209 in Tamaqua for a vehicle accident with injury.
Officials arrived to see a red GMC pickup truck up an embankment and a utility pole sheered.
A helicopter landed at the parking lot of Tamaqua Plaza to transport the male driver to a hospital.
Responding were Tamaqua Police, Coaldale Police, Tamaqua Rescue Squad, Tamaqua Ambulance, East End Fire Company, American Hose Company, Tamaqua Fire Police and others.
