A comment on Facebook from her mother Tammy Messerschmidt around 12:30 AM today ( Tues. Dec. 22, 2015) states, “We have FOUND her!!! Thank you for all the prayers and shares!! She is safe and will be home with us soon.”

A 14-year-old girl with ties to Tamaqua and Hometown area is missing from her Kenhorst home near Reading.
A comment today on Facebook from her father Jason Messerschmidt of Hometown reads, “Our daughter ran away from home in the Kenhorst, PA (Near Reading, PA) area last night around 5pm. She has been reported to the police as missing. She did not come home as of this morning, she did not show up for school today or have contact with anyone we know of since around 6 PM last night. Please keep this same post and just share it as someone knows something. She is 14 and likely hiding with a friend that may or may not know she has run away. If seen please contact one of us directly or contact the police immediately.”
