Gas prices have continued to fall over the past few months. How low will it go?
Pictured last week is gas at $2.099 a gallon at Turkey Hill Minit Market in Tamaqua, with 10 cents off a gallon with use of a rewards card.
According to GasBuddy.com, the cheapest local gas prices as of Dec. 15 are One Stop in Rush Township and Our Family Mini Mart in Tamaqua at $2.14/gallon.
According to FuelGaugeReport.com, today’s national average is $2.013 a gallon for regular gas. It adds that today’s average for Pennsylvania is $2.229, versus $2.771 a year ago. The highest recorded average price in the state for regular gas was $4.074 on July 16, 2008.
