Members of the Lap Afghan Group of Schuylkill County have made and gift-wrapped over 300 afghans to be donated to area nursing homes and adult centers during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. Their goal is 350 afghans.
The group meets ever third Thursday of the month during a knitting meeting at the Immanuel E.C. Church, (9 Robin Lane) East Pheasant Run Road in Drehersville (Schuylkill County).
