Wanting to further help Tamaqua area students, Amanda Woodring, a special education teacher for the Tamaqua Area School District,organized a school uniform collection drive. Woodring, along with a few other volunteers, collected and distributed the donated items in late September. The event was held in the gymnasium of the Tamaqua Salvation Army.
Some volunteers included Cindy Dover, Adrian Dover, and Jenn Paisley.
Woodring stated her appreciation to all who helped or donated.
