
A meet and greet event was held early last month for artist Linda Stockman at the Tamaqua Community Arts Center. Her exhibit was titled “Wildlife in Oil & Acrylic.”
Originally from New Jersey, Stockman resides in Bushkill, Pennsylvania. She holds her Associate Degree in Marketing Art and Design from Middlesex County College. She said she studied with well-known artists, to include famed illustrator Peter Caras at the duCret School of Art in Plainfield, NJ.
In addition, Stockman has freelanced as a product designer and a color separator for D.C. comics as well as other comic book companies and illustrated several children’s books. She concentrates mostly on wildfire art, portraiture and animation.
