Tamaqua Mayor Chris Morrison signed a proclamation on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 to promote National Back To Church Day. Attending the event were officials from a number of Tamaqua churches and Tamaqua Faith Fellowship Network. They included, from left, Reverend Darryl Kensinger, Trinity U.C.C.; Jim Stoves, Bethany E.C.C.; Ruthy Kerr, Trinity U.C.C.; George Taylor, Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church; Reverend Susan Daniels, First United Methodist Church; Gary Price, Calvary Episcopal Church; Georgeann Knowles, St. John XXIII Parish; Jane G. Habel, St. John XIII Parish; and Tamaqua Mayor Chris Morrison.
In addition, a music and celebration event will be held this Sunday, September 20, 2015 starting at 3 PM at the Depot Square Park in Tamaqua. All are welcome to attend.
