Volunteers with Schuylkill Keep It Pretty (S.K.I.P) are holding a cleanup event this Saturday, September 19, 2015 in Tamaqua. Community members are encouraged to meet them at the M & T Bank parking lot at the Five Points intersection starting at 9 AM.
Garbage bags, gloves and safety vests will be provided.
In addition, another group will be cleaning up parts of the South Ward. Any volunteers are encouraged to meet at the South Ward Playground.
Kevin Steigerwalt, Tamaqua Borough Manager, said any resident can take part in the cleanup by picking up litter on their sidewalk and in their yards.
