FIREFIGHTERS ON SCENE OF FUEL SPILL AT CONDEMNED TAMAQUA PROPERTY

Tamaqua firefighters and police are on scene of a fuel spill at a condemned property along the 400 block of Pine Street (SR309) in Tamaqua. Officials were dispatched around 12:40 AM today (Sunday, August 30, 2015) for a hazardous materials incident in the basement of 417 Pine Street.
Firefighters could be seen gathering supplies to clean up the spill.
An official stated that Tamaqua Code enforcement has placed a condemned placard on the front of the home a few weeks ago.

Tamaqua Fire Police volunteers controlled vehicle and pedestrian traffic around the area.
