Members of the Valley Regional Warriors U16 travel softball team won the Tune-up for Nationals tournament in Drums last weekend. Numerous members of the team, and its coaches, were from the Tamaqua area.
Seven teams competed. Valley Regional Warriors U16 beat Lackawanna Lightning 3 to 1.
Some locals were coach Troy Schellhammer and players Jada Schellhammer, Brooke Zellner, Cailyn Joseph and Maddy Matsago. Not pictured was Taylar Donnon.
