
A man from Coaldale and woman from Summit Hill are facing narcotics charges following a traffic stop in Rush Township.
Information on the Rush Township Police Department’s Facebook page reads:
“On Monday July 27, 2015, Officers on patrol noticed a Volkswagen sedan commit a traffic violation as it traveled on Claremont Avenue.
During the course of a traffic stop, Officers discovered probable cause existed to conduct a search of the vehicle. The search revealed narcotics, elicit prescription medications, numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia, a substantial amount of cash, and book keeping documents indicating sales of narcotics.
Rush Township Police took Noel Abadia, 34, Coaldale, and Elizabeth A Garrett, 53, Summit Hill, into custody.
Abadia was charged with (1) count Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to Deliver (Felony) , (2) counts Possession of a Controlled Substance (Misdemeanor) , (1) count Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Abadia was transported to the Schuylkill County Correctional Facility where he appeared in front of District Court Judge Anthony J Kilker for a formal arraignment.
Garrett faces charges related to Possesion of Drug Paraphernalia.”
