ROSEMOUNT CAMPING RESORT HELD EVENT TO BENEFIT AVENUE’S RIDING PROGRAM

Owners, staff, campers and volunteers at Rosemount Camping Resort in Lewistown Valley (Walker Township) held their 28th annual fundraising benefit yesterday (Saturday, July 18, 2015) to benefit the Avenue’s Schuylkill County Therapeautic Riding Program (SCTRP).
The event consisted of horseback riding, food, Chinese auction and other events.
Benefit organizer Diann Belsak, who also serves activities coördinator for the resort, praised the help from volunteers and those who came in support.
Campground owners Mike and Marigrace Confield also stated their appreciation to all participants, area businesses and all the volunteers that came together to make the event a traditional success. “This event serves as one of our main benefit fundraisers for the year,” said Mike Confield during a past benefit.
“This is a great benefit we run to help raise funds for the program,” said Marigrace, who added that she met her husband 29 years ago while volunteering at a related cerebral palsy fundraiser.
