
PRESS RELEASE – (from Mauch Chunk Trust) – Twenty-two local residents have been honored by Mauch Chunk Trust Company as recipients of Anna Marie Helbing Trust scholarship grants towards their pursuit of a nursing degree. The award recipients, selected by an independent committee, were recognized at a small reception held in their honor on Saturday June 27, 2015 at the MCT North Street branch location in Jim Thorpe.
The 2015 Anna Marie Helbing Trust award recipients are: Lauren Burrows, Amy Corby, Erica Ferrell, Ashton Glasso, Theresa Hausman, Kelly Hormuth, John Kennedy, Tori Kunkle, Jacob Ligenza, Jessica Natividad, Alexandria Quinn, Damian Richards, Dominick Richards, Darris Rodrigues, Melissa Secara, Kara Sedlack, Ashley Sensinger, Erica Smith, Kayla Smith, Arissa Snyder, Caitlin Werkheiser and Kelly Westermann.
This is the 24th consecutive year that Mauch Chunk Trust Company has administered scholarship grants from the generous bequest of Anna Marie Helbing. Ms. Helbing was a lifelong resident of Jim Thorpe and enjoyed a nursing career in New York. According to Mauch Chunk Trust Company President and CEO, Patrick H. Reilly, “These students are moving into a profession of caring individuals that will provide a service to the community; we wish them great success in their studies.”
