FIVE YEARS AGO TODAY (July 18, 2010), members of the Tamaqua Pool League received trophies for the 2009-2010 season.
Tamaqua Pool League Awards The Tamaqua Pool League held their annual picnic at the West Penn Rod and Gun Club recently. Awards and trophies were given to individuals and teams for various categories. They include, from left, Willis Garber (representing overall team winner Tamaqua East End Fire Co II); Sonny Triano (representing first half team winner Clamtown Tavern); Brian McHale (representing second Half team winner Tamaqua East End Fire Co. II); Nicole Nester and Scott Benjamin (representing round robin championship team Still Creek Tavern Team); Jimbo Kachelries (representing overall team winner Tamaqua Citizens Fire Company); Bill Mellor (representing third place overall team Clamtown Tavern); Harry Heffelfinger (representing second half second place team Tamaqua Citizen’s Fire Company); Stacey Mika and Nails Knoblauch (representing fourth place overall team Pine Street Pub).
