Visitors to the recent Tamaqua Historical Society’s 25th Annual Tamaqua Summerfest were given one opportunity to take the “50-Photo 60-Second TamaquaArea.com Photo Challenge.”
Two random teams of three event-goers tied for first place as each correctly guessed the detailed location of 18 (of 50) photos. To identify the location of a photo, they had to be detailed in their description and correctly guess as many as possible within 60 seconds. Of course, all photos were taken within Tamaqua.

Winning team members (pictured below with indian) were:
Team 1: From left are Ray Whatley (spelled correctly), Kyle Whitley and Debbie Dodson.
Team 2: From left are Margaret Marino, Donnie Serfass and Maria Gerronimo.

HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW TAMAQUA?

Take The Challenge Below:

(Don’t page down until you are ready to start.) (You only get one chance, of course. You keep score yourself. Keep in mind that a team of three will do much better than trying it by yourself.)

HOW TO PLAY ON HERE:
There are 50 photos currently being displayed via a slideshow below.
Find a timer or such and set it for 60 seconds… Hit start and page down.
Then, as fast as you can, correctly say out loud the location of each photo as you see it. You don’t need to write it down, although you do need to keep track of how many correct answers you give. Putting a check mark on a piece of paper will work. Remember, you have to be detailed in your description.  Don’t just say a place, building or area. Again, all photos are in Tamaqua. Feel free to fast forward if you or any of your team members guessed it correctly.
HINT: Don’t dwell too long on one photo. If you don’t know it right away, fast forward immediately to the next photo, as there are plenty of photos to guess (50 total photos).
Can you and/or your team beat 18 photos?
Page down and start guessing after you start the timer…
Good luck!
(After your take the challenge, don’t forget to tell everyone how well you did by replying below.)

(FYI: Slideshow will go blank after it has cycled through. It will re-start automatically after 10 seconds.)

I won’t list the answers. That will ruin it for those that want to browse without competing.  🙂
