FREE DRESSERS AND NIGHT STANDS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY IN HOMETOWN

The Hometown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rush Township will be donating approximately 70 small dressers and 70 matching night stands to the Tamaqua Volunteers community initiative group tomorrow afternoon (Thursday, June 25, 2015) while the center replaces them with new ones.
Any needy individual, family or non-profit organization interested in receiving a small dresser and night stand can meet the volunteers behind the center, 149 Lafayette Avenue, anytime between 2 PM to 4 PM on Thursday (June 25) or 2 PM to 6 PM on Friday (June 26). No registration needed. Simply show up. Do not show up before or after those hours. Giveaway times are subject to change due to weather or other reasons.
The giveaway event is first come, first serve, and is open to anyone no matter where you live in Pennsylvania. All items are given away at own risk and may not be sold or collected for profit. Delivery is not available and items will not be held. There is a limit of two sets per vehicle on Thursday. Limit of 4 sets per vehicle on Friday.
Due to the nature of the giveaway, the items have to be stored outside. Since it calls for rain from 3 PM to late on Thursday, volunteers will do their best to place tarps over the items for Friday’s giveaway.
Nursing center employees and families get first dibs on items.
If you need more information, call 570-668-1234. Do not call or stop inside the nursing center. Do not show up before or after the listed hours to pick-up items, as you are on private property (with security cameras).
