FATAL ATV ACCIDENT IN RUSH TOWNSHIP

Emergency personnel were called around 4:30 PM today (Monday, June 22, 2015) for an all-terrain-vehicle accident in the area just north of Air Products on Marian Avenue in Rush Township.
They arrived to see an upside-down ATV in the middle of the road (Marian Avenue) and person laying underneath it. The road was closed shortly after.
Responding were Hometown Fire Company, Rush Township Police, Kline Township Police, Quakake Fire Company, Ryan Township Ambulance and others.
Hometown Fire Police and Quakake firefighters controlled traffic around the area for the duration.
UPDATE: According to WNEP’s 11 PM story, the victim was identified as Daniel Pupko, 54, of Grier City. Daniel’s brother Stephen Pupko, 56, was also on the ATV. He was not hurt.
