The doors to the Tamaqua Historical Society Museum will be open during tomorrow’s (Sunday, June 21, 2015) 25th Annual Tamaqua Summerfest to showcase current renovations still underway there.
It could take up to 6 more months for volunteers to refill the museum and finish the project.
Dale Freudenberger, President, Tamaqua Historical Society, said, “Stop in the Tamaqua Area Museum during the Summerfest on Fathers Day and check out all the old photos of our area and see the progress on the beautiful restoration of our grand 1905 former bank building. You will be amazed at our new look! The project is not yet complete but we are about 75 percent finished with the major renovations.”
The festival, held in downtown Tamaqua, lasts from 10 AM to 5 PM, rain or shine.
