EXPECT LITTLE TO NO RAIN DURING TAMAQUA’S SUMMERFEST

6-21-2015, Tamaqua Summerfest, Downtown Tamaqua (3)Tamaqua’s 25th Annual Summerfest is scheduled for tomorrow (Father’s Day), Sunday, June 21, 2015 from 10 AM to 5 PM in downtown Tamaqua.
Luckily all the heavy rainfall is expected to end around 8:30 AM on Sunday. That leaves the rest of the day for festival fun, food and activities. (Click HERE to view forecast.)
The festival, sponsored by the Tamaqua Historical Society, includes train rides from the station, classic and antique car show, large street fair, crafts, ethnic foods, a variety of music, historical tours, working blacksmith shop, horse drawn trolley rides, exhibits and free entertainment.
In addition, visitors can stop in to see the progress with our newly restored and renovated museum building, 116 West Broad Street. “It is still under construction, but you will be amazed at what you see,” said Dale Freudenberger, President, Tamaqua Historical Society. “A display of historical photos of the Tamaqua area will be in the front of the museum during the Summerfest.”
The event will be held rain or shine.
