Volunteers stated that their are plenty of tickets left for tomorrow’s (Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21, 2015) Train Ride Excursions being held during the 25th Annual Tamaqua Summerfest. Tickets can be purchased Sunday at the Tamaqua Railroad Station. It is highly recommended to arrive.

There are three excursions. 2 trips north, 1 trip south.  They are:
11 AM -Tamaqua to New Ringgold and return.
1 PM -Tamaqua to High Bridge and return.
3 PM – Tamaqua to High Bridge and return.
Each excursion is about an hour long.

Costs are:
– Adults $13 (ages 13 and up) each.
– Children $9 (ages 3 to 12) each.
– Infants are free (ages 2 and under) with each paying adult.
– Every passenger needs a ticket.

Remaining tickets will be sold on a first come basis at the station that day. No guarantees there will be any available.

These trips are being organized by the Tamaqua Historical Society through cooperation with the Reading Blue Mountain Railroad.
