EAMES BAKERY SIGN IN ST. CLAIR

Eames Bakery Sign, Brotosky's, St Clair, 6-6-2015 (5)Pictured last Saturday (June 6, 2015) is an Eames Bakery poster on display in the store front of the old Brotosky’s store in St. Clair. A neighbor said the store, situated at the intersection of East Thwing and South Mill streets, has been closed for years, and current owners use the building as a place of residents. The neighbor added that the owners are preserving how the store always looked.
Torn down in 2010, the old Eames Bakery building, located at the intersection of Elm and North Railroad Street, also served as Burlington Mills and W. F. Taubel Hosiery Mills.

John Suzadail said on Facebook, “I was the sponge mixer (1st one in the bakery, graveyard shift) in 1968-69. They were shut down by the time I got home from Vietnam.”
