Below is a beautiful 12-minute aerial video of Jim Thorpe in Carbon County PA taken on (Monday, June 8, 2015) by unpaid drone hobbyist Frank D’Amato. The video also includes construction status of the new bridge.

very nice. It shows how they cleaned up the water. When I was a little girl and played along the river it
was mostly rocks no trees.

I LOVE this video. I moved out of Jim Thorpe in February and was missing it and my old job. This made me happy seeing the new bridge and seeing my old town and old job from my new home. ❤

Thanks so much, really enjoyed it. I lived in Mahoning Valley for a year a couple years ago and have been to Jim Thorpe many times and miss it. Didn’t know they were building a new bridge but it’s definitely needed. Thanked my lucky stars every time I made it across the old bridge!

Thank you very much. Loved seeing Jim Thorpe and plan on a visit very soon. The river would have been the one that my great great grandfather James McGee would have pulled barges of coal with mules on.
