
Weather forecast for Tamaqua and surrounding communities calls for heavy thunderstorm and wind gusts from 6 PM to 9 PM today (Monday, June 8, 2015).
The cold front responsible for the severe weather will push east bringing the risk of strong to severe thunderstorms from southeastern Missouri through Kentucky, Tennessee, southern Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and southern New York.
Primary threats include damaging wind gusts and large hail, though a tornado or two cannot be ruled out. Flash flooding is also possible.
Tamaqua Area Forecast: Tuesday calls for a 70 percent rain and thunderstorm, while the rest of the week calls for partly cloudy skies with temperatures reaching the high 80’s.
