Tink’s Antiques & Rusty Nail Primitives held their ribbon cutting on Friday, May 29, 2015 in Tamaqua. The shop, 28 South Railroad Street, owned and operated by Bill Vacula and wife Jody Kellner, officially opened on April 10. They purchased the building on March 3 of this year.
Jody said her parents (Tink and Charlie Kellner) owned and operated Tink’s Antiques at 321 Pine Street in Tamaqua for over 40 years. The business was inherited to Jody after their passing 4 years ago. Jody, who said she has been involved in the shop since she was a child, stated her and Bill’s love for collecting antiques. After 40 years of friendship, both chose to get married a few years ago.

Both have full time jobs elsewhere. Bill works at a pool company, while Jody works at Gnaden Huetten Hospital.
Including the basement and all three floors, the building has an area of about 12,000 square feet. Currently, only the main floor is utilized for the shop, while remaining areas are used as office and home space.
Both added that they buy and sell items, and also do estate cleanouts.
Shop hours are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 5 PM or by appointment. The shop’s phone numbers are 570-449-2094 and 570-573-3438. Their website is www.TinksAntiques.com. They can also be found on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/tinksantiques.
