Rite Aid in Tamaqua held a re-grand opening on Thursday, May 28, 2015 to celebrate recent renovations and their new focus revolving around wellness.
According to their website, the chain is in the process of remodeling all their stores.
The site adds:
“We’re in the process of remodeling our stores to create a new shopping experience for our customers, one that is centered on wellness. Wellness Stores demonstrate our company’s continued commitment to providing the services, products, and resources that help our customers and their families live healthy lives. Our Wellness Stores contain an expanded offering of clinical pharmacy services and health and wellness products. Plus, we’ve lowered the shelves and widened the aisles to help you better navigate our Wellness Stores.
Wellness stores include:
– Medication therapy management
– Consultation rooms for private discussions with a Rite Aid pharmacist
– Organic and gluten-free foods and beverages
– All-natural personal care and home care products
– GNC nutritional supplements
– Fitness and workout equipment for purchase
– Expanded wellness magazine and book sections
In addition, each store will have a Wellness Ambassador, Tamaqua’s store being Kyra Dale.
The website states, “Wellness Ambassadors help Rite Aid deliver on our goal of providing excellent customer service and are a part of what makes our Wellness Stores unique. Wellness Ambassadors act as a bridge between the front of the store and the pharmacy, and are there to help you locate products; provide access to information on over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and supplements; and help you interact with our licensed pharmacists on a more personal level.
The next time you’re in a Rite Aid store, look for an associate in a light-blue coat with a “Wellness Ambassador” nametag. Feel free to introduce yourself, explore the information on the Wellness Ambassador’s iPad, and ask about the store’s next wellness event.”
