An unidentified man was taken into custody following a single-vehicle crash at the bottom of Hometown Hill (SR309) this morning (Sunday, May 31, 2015) in Tamaqua. Emergency personnel were called to the northbound lane of SR309 across from Taggertsville Road for a single-vehicle accident with unknown injury. They arrived to see a green Chevrolet pickup truck crashed into the side of the rocky mountain.
Responding were Tamaqua Police, Rush Township Police, Tamaqua Rescue Squad, Hometown Fire Company, American Hose Company, East End Fire Company, Tamaqua Ambulance.

Hope’s Towing removed the vehicle.
