PHOTOS, VIDEO FROM TAMAQUA’S MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE AT ODD FELLOWS CEMETERY

Below are photos and video from Tamaqua’s 147th Annual Memorial Day Service held Monday, May 25, 2015 at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Tamaqua.
Master of Ceremonies was Eric Zizelmann. Star Spangled Banner was sung by the assemblage with accompaniment by the Tamaqua Area Raider Marching Band. Invocation was via Vicar Cindy White.
Main speaker was Tonia Barron. Also speaking were Rachel Keich and Jillian Franko (Tamaqua Business and Professional Women’s Club Young Women of the Year).
During the Roll Call of decease veterans, Tamaqua Mayor Chris Morrison escorted parade Grand Marshal Carl Hafer Sr. during the placement of the Memorial Wreath at Soldier’s Circle. Canton Allentown No. 39, Patriarchs Militant, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, also participated.
This year’s Poppy Queen was Ava Murray.
