On Friday, May 1, 2015, the Weatherly School District hosted the District 10 Elementary Bandfest West.  Eight fifth and sixth grade students from the Tamaqua Area School District were selected to participate in this all-day event which culminated in a concert that evening. Participating students were Nicole Aguero-Ramerez, Nicholas Behr, Rachael Betz, Alli Frederick, Brady Miller, Taylor Rodgers, Caitlin Smith and Alexa Stianche.
This year’s band is comprised of 170 musicians from Carbon, Schuylkill, and Berks Counties.
Tamaqua Elementary School Band Director Marsha Rodgers served as the Tamaqua advisor.
