Longtime members of the Tamaqua American Legion Post 173 held a member recognition service recently at the post to honor those veterans that have been members 50, 55, 60, 65 or 70 years.
Each veteran was given an anniversary cap, award certificate and pin.
Recognized were Steve Daderko (50 years), William J. Bonenberger (50 years), John C. Hafer (60 years), Abraham Schwartz (60 years), Robert N. Johns (60 years), Edward Zemanik (60 years), Earl H. Boettger (70 years), Max Swartz (70 years), William R. Loew (70 years), Alma M. Klotz (70 years), Ellem M. Stone (70 years) and Earl Bridygham (70 years).
